Private by design
DOCX parsing happens in your browser with the open-source mammoth.js library. Your document is never sent anywhere, which makes SpeedRead safe for internal documents, unpublished manuscripts, and anything under NDA.
Formatting is stripped, text is kept
RSVP reading works on plain text, so headings, comments, and layout are flattened into a clean word stream in reading order. Tables and footnotes are included as text where possible.
Older .doc files
The legacy binary .doc format is not supported — save the file as .docx in Word or Google Docs first (File → Save As → .docx), then upload it here.
